Terms & Conditions

(These terms and conditions apply to orders placed by email, internet, in person and over the phone.)

Recipient: refers to the party receiving the shipment
Carrier: refers to the party delivering the package (FedEx, USPS, or UPS)
Business Day: refers to Monday-Friday excluding holidays

Section 1 – Billing & Payments

1.) Payment is accepted by the following methods:

 Check
 Money Order
 Credit Card (Visa, Discover, MasterCard & American Express)
 PayPal

2.) Payment can be made by credit card by following the link at the top right hand side (above the date) of your PayPal invoice.

3.) Credit cards given over the phone will be processed by Square.

4.) Bank transfers will be accepted for international buyers.

5.) For international shipments the recipient is responsible for all duties, taxes and fees.

Section 2 – Quoting

1.) Once we receive an inquiry, a customized shipping quote will be prepared, including a double boxed shipment for fragile items, insured packages for items valued up to $50,000.00 and a signature requirement upon delivery.

2.) Custom Pack & Ship can provide a quote for packaging your item/items only. If the recipient chooses to be responsible for the shipping, they are responsible for creating the shipping label and sending it to Custom Pack and Ship via Email or Mail. If the recipient would like Custom Pack & Ship to create the label on their behalf, there is a $5.00 fee for domestic labels and a $15.00 fee for international labels. If Custom Pack & Ship has a pick-up scheduled for the carrier selected, we will happily include your package in the pick-up. If Custom Pack & Ship does not have a pick up scheduled for the day and time selected by the recipient, the recipient is responsible for scheduling the pickup and all pick-up charges. Custom Pack & Ship is not responsible for any lost or damaged packages.

3.) Shipping (or packaging) quotes will be sent within 24 hours.

4.) Shipping (or packaging) quotes will be sent to the recipient via PayPal.

5.) If a quote is not accepted within 3 months, Custom Pack & Ship will cancel the PayPal invoice. In the future, a new quote can be provided upon customer request if Custom Pack & Ship is able to accommodate the shipment at that time.

Section 3 – Pricing

1.) Pricing is based on postage and insurance rates at the time of quote/estimate, labor, and material charges.

Section 4 – Packaging & Materials

1.) Standard box sizes start at 6×6 and go up to 24×24, We will make custom boxes for odd shaped items or items that are over 24″ using double wall corrugated cardboard. The maximum size item we can ship is 25″ (height, width, or length) and the maximum weight is 60 lbs. per item. For shipments via USPS, priority mail or express mail boxes will be used.

Section 5 – Shipping Carriers & Options

1.) Custom Pack and Ship provides local pick-up and deliveries to Massachusetts and Connecticut.

 FedEx International Economy
 FedEx International Priority
 FedEx Priority 2 day Air
 FedEx Priority Overnight
 USPS Priority Mail

 UPS Overnight
 UPS Worldwide Expedited

Section 6 – Insurance

1.) Items delivered directly by Custom Pack & Ship will be protected by insurance for items valued up to: $100,000.00

2.) Custom Pack and Ship will place insurance and a signature on every package unless instructed otherwise from the recipient in writing. If the recipient declines insurance or a signature over the phone, paying for the invoice serves as verification for the recipient declining insurance and signature requirements.

3.) Insurance is purchased through the shipping carrier (for orders shipped by a carrier other than Custom Pack & Ship). UPS packages will be protected by insurance for items valued up to $50,000.00. FedEx packages will be protected by insurance for items valued up to $1,000.00. Insurance coverage is based on the carrier’s Terms & Conditions.

4.) Custom Pack & Ship is not liable for any damages or loss occurring to packages in the following cases:

 If the purchaser states in writing they choose to deny the insurance coverage or signature requirement.

 If the carrier does not provide a signature requirement option for the delivery location.

 The shipping carrier damages or losses the package:
If a package is damaged or lost by the shipping carrier (and insurance has been purchased through the carrier) Custom Pack & Ship will file a claim and pursue the claim in defense of the purchaser. The shipping carrier will be responsible for paying the claim, the claim funds will be sent from the carrier to Custom Pack & Ship. Custom Pack & Ship will refund the customer after the funds have been received from the carrier. The carrier will cover the purchase price of the item as well as the postage cost. Any taxes, fees, or packaging charges will not be reimbursed.

Section 7 – Pick-up, Delivery & Tracking

1.) Once payment is received Custom Pack & Ship will pick up the item (items) within 24 – 48 hours.

2.) Once the item/items are picked up, Custom Pack and Ship will take photographs of the item/items to show all pieces that belong to the item/items and the condition of the item/items.

3.) For all orders, please allow up to 4 business days for handling once payment is received. Handling time starts once the shipping payment has been received or the item/items have been released, whichever occurs last. During high volume shipping times, handling times may be delayed. If this is the case, Custom Pack & Ship will notify the purchaser.

4.) Once the selected common carrier is in possession of a package (or packages) the recipient will be notified with a tracking number, link to track and estimated or guaranteed (depending on service chosen) delivery date. Once the recipient receives the tracking information please allow up to 24 hours for the tracking information to update.

5.) The carrier is responsible for contacting the recipient and delivering the package.

Electronic Communication

When you access or use the Site, provide your e-mail address to us, or send us e-mails, you are communicating with us electronically. In so doing, you consent to receive communications from us electronically. We will communicate with you by e-mail. You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures and other communications that we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communication be in writing. You agree that by communicating with us electronically we may use the content of your email on our website for review purposes (excluding any personal information {your name, address, phone number, or email address}) unless otherwise instructed by you in writing.
