Terms & Conditions

THIS DOCUMENT CONTAINS IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS, AS WELL AS CONDITIONS, LIMITATIONS, AND EXCLUSIONS THAT APPLY TO YOU. PLEASE READ IT CAREFULLY.

BILLING & PAYMENTS

Payments are processed through FreshBooks. The recipient agrees to to the third party payment processors Terms & Conditions.
Payments can also be made by personal check, cashiers check, money order, or wire transfer.
We do not accept international checks or money orders.
We do not accept credit cards over the phone.

By providing a credit card or other payment method accepted by us, you represent and warrant that you are authorized to use the designated payment method and that you authorize us (or our third-party payment processor) to charge your payment method for the total amount of your order (including any applicable Taxes and other charges). If the payment method cannot be verified, is invalid or is otherwise not acceptable, your order may be suspended or cancelled. You must resolve any problem we encounter in order to proceed with your order.

QUOTING

Customized shipping quotes will include: double boxed packaging for fragile items, insured packages for items valued up to $50,000.00, and a signature requirement upon delivery (for accepted locations). Insurance and signature fees are included in your quote. If you choose to not have your item/items insured or you choose not to sign for your item/items upon delivery, Custom Pack & Ship is not responsible for any lost or damaged items. This includes if you state in writing that you do not want insurance or a signature requirement or if you pay for your invoice that states no insurance or signature requirement is included with you order.

Custom Pack & Ship can provide a quote for packaging your item/items only. If the recipient chooses to be responsible for the shipping, they are responsible for creating the shipping label and sending it to Custom Pack and Ship via Email or Mail. If the recipient would like Custom Pack & Ship to create the label on their behalf, there is a $5.00 fee for domestic labels and a $15.00 fee for international labels. A package pick-up/drop off fee will be included in your quote depending on carrier pricing at the time of the shipment. Custom Pack & Ship is not responsible for any lost or damaged packages.

The item/items will be picked up after the shipping payment has been received.

If a quote is not accepted within 60 days, Custom Pack & Ship will cancel the invoice. In the future, a new quote can be provided upon customer request.

Pricing is based on postage, insurance, and material rates at the time of quote as well as labor charges.
A processing fee will be charged to all orders.

Custom Pack & Ship follows the Terms & Conditions set by the third party shipping carriers, by using Custom Pack & Ship the recipient agrees to the third party shipping carriers Terms & Conditions.

For international shipments the recipient is responsible for all duties, taxes and fees.

Custom Pack & Ship provides local pick-up and delivery in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and select locations in New York.

PACKAGE INSURANCE (DECLARED VALUE)

Custom Pack and Ship will place insurance and a signature on every package unless instructed otherwise from the recipient. If the recipient declines insurance or a signature over the phone, paying for the invoice serves as verification for the recipient declining insurance and signature requirements.

Insurance is purchased through the shipping carrier (for orders shipped by a carrier other than Custom Pack & Ship). UPS packages will be protected by insurance for items valued up to $50,000.00. FedEx packages will be protected by insurance for items valued up to $1,000.00. Insurance coverage is based on the carrier’s Terms & Conditions.

Items delivered directly by Custom Pack & Ship will be protected by insurance for items valued up to: $100,000.00

Custom Pack & Ship is not liable for any damages or loss occurring to packages in the following cases:
If the recipient chooses to deny the insurance coverage or signature requirement.
If the carrier does not provide a signature requirement option for the delivery location.
The shipping carrier damages or losses the package:
If a package is damaged or lost by the shipping carrier (and insurance has been purchased through the carrier) Custom Pack & Ship will file a claim and pursue the claim in defense of the recipient. The shipping carrier will be responsible for paying the claim, the claim funds will be sent from the carrier to Custom Pack & Ship. Custom Pack & Ship will refund the recipient after the funds have been received from the carrier. The carrier will cover the purchase price of the item as well as the postage cost. Any taxes, fees, or packaging charges will not be reimbursed.

HANDLING TIME

For all orders, please allow up to 4 business days for handling once payment is received. Handling time starts once the shipping payment has been received or the item/items have been released, whichever occurs last. During high volume shipping times, handling times may be delayed. If this is the case, Custom Pack & Ship will notify the purchaser.

COVID-19

Due to COVID-19 there may be some shipping delays. We are working hard to keep everyone safe. Our packaging facility is wiped down and sanitized daily and our employees wear protective equipment while handling items.

Change of Address

If you provide an incorrect address to Custom Pack & Ship and you or the shipping carrier updates the address, Custom Pack & Ship reserves the right to charge you for any associated fees charged by the shipping carrier. A 14% processing fee will be added to the carrier charge.

Electronic Communication

When you access or use the Site, provide your e-mail address to us, or send us e-mails, you are communicating with us electronically. In so doing, you consent to receive communications from us electronically. We will communicate with you by e-mail. You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures and other communications that we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communication be in writing. You agree that by communicating with us electronically we may use the content of your email on our website for review purposes (excluding any personal information {your name, address, phone number, or email address}) unless otherwise instructed by you in writing.

These terms and conditions apply to orders placed by email, internet, in person and over the phone.
